<p>The post describes our strategy to fetch the first 1000 followers on Twitter for the purpose of building a list of readers, listeners and people we can engage in conversation with.</p>
<p>Our declared <a title="Marketing Herbalife" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/social-media/twitter/herbalife-marketing-on-twitter-facebook-and-google-part-2/" >90 days goal</a> is to rake in 10 leads per day and one sale per day.<br />
<a name='Expanding on Twitter'></a><br />
<h3>Expanding on Twitter</h3>
<p>There is a lot of hype around about how to increase your followers on Twitter and most of it is nonsense. However, there seem to be two main strategies used by successful people:</p>
<p>1. Grab whatever you can and sort out later.</p>
<p>2. Go out in a targeted way to find responsive people with whom you can engage in conversation and don&#8217;t waste your time on nonsense and producing cyber-waste.</p>
<p>For someone who has already a big list it&#8217;s always easy to say: &#8220;be selective&#8221;. On the other hand, when you start, you try to get the best advise and follow it.</p>
<p>Here is the strategy I will apply to the Nutrinsider twitter account: To start with I will go out and look for people with whom I can share the interest in particular keywords and follow them. The more the better to drive my twitter to a level where the critical mass is reached and where it will then produce more daily followers automatically. I think that that critical mass is somewhere between 1500 and 2000 followers.</p>
<p>So my first goal is to reach the critical mass. From there on I can then just do daily follow-up and sort what&#8217;s added, to extract my 10 daily leads.<br />

<h3>Lead Generation with Twitter</h3>
<p>It&#8217;s always the same: you have the choice between spending money on targeted leads or you can produce your leads with your own means.</p>
<p>I prefer to screen the market by myself, using my Semiomantics websites and the visibility created in stead of spending on or other Google Ads or in stead of buying leads from lead companies.</p>
<p>The free lead generator at YORGOO is another site to use for free lead generation. YORGOO will be adapted to become efficient on social networks later this month.<br />

<h3>My Twitter Performance</h3>
<p>In as much as expansion is concerned, I have implemented the recommendations from the last Ycademy Seminar a week ago and since then my Twitter Account has increased by over 1100 followers.</p>
<p>I will apply the same strategy on Nutrinsider, pushing may be a bit harder :-).</p>

<p>The Nutrinsider account on Twitter has just been set up and customized. I will now go and follow a bunch of people to share common interests.</p>

This is where you need great content to also build your authority, to build trust and to build confidence. This is probably the most important point when it comes to social networking.</p>
<p>People don&#8217;t join social networks to get your ads and spams all day long. They go there to participate in conversations, to meet people and for entertainment. If you have Herbalife Products to sell, don&#8217;t open your wall to Herbalife distributors, as you will rake in all their junk, you definitely don&#8217;t want to bring in front of your audience and listeners.</p>

<p>People must find you with a question of the type: &#8220;can I have sex at 80&#8243;, or &#8220;how to have sex at 80&#8243;, &#8220;how to assure an active love life&#8221; , and so on. There they want substantial information. The real thing, not some commercial hype or tweaked testimonials. Give people an honest answer to the question, straight to the point and think that with every post you build or destroy your reputation.</p>
<p>Here comes the good news and you will now understand why the name of Herbalife on your site is not a good idea. Your business, say Nutrinsider, provides it&#8217;s readers with valuable content about sexual activity of seniors. Great. You may quote the press, scientists, the FDA, just about anyone who has to say something relevant and smart about the topic in a NON COMMERCIAL way. Don&#8217;t just quote scientists who are on Herbalife&#8217;s payroll!</p>
<p>And don&#8217;t forget, you are not discussing a Herbalife product but a topic of concern to your readers.</p>
<p>If you associate the name of Herbalife to your editorials or if you load your site with Herbalife product ads, you are subject to the restrictions set forth by the Herbalife Internet rules. Also your credibility goes straight down the drain as your recommendations are clearly biased by your commercial interest.</p>
<p>Also, if you have quoted scientific content, you may not be legally correct by associating such comment with Herbalife products. So, just keep your freedom of speech by providing non commercial content. Don&#8217;t forget, it&#8217;s your business site and Herbalife is not your business.<br />

<p>Your website is a publishing platform with multiple aspects. Your content can be split and clearly labeled as information (unbiased), Product reviews, entertainment and fun and commercial content such as ads. And last but not least you have testimonials.</p>
<p>Testimonials are a great tool and in fact the best tool for promoting Food Supplements and most anything on Social Networks. However these testimonials need to be formulated in an intelligent way.</p>
<p>Testimonials saying: &#8220;I have tried every diet to lose weight and nothing was working until I tried Herbalife. Thank you Herbalife!&#8221; may be nice for Herbalife to read, but it&#8217;s complete nonsense in a social network and to promote your business and reputation as you are just again smearing all over the place a Company name which is what people will be retaining, often in a negative way as they have not come to a social network to get spammed with ads.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a problem of credibility and empathy and while the name of Herbalife may help you to promote yourself amongst happy Herbalife Customers, this may just not be the right approach elsewhere.</p>
<p>Think about your purpose: You promote your business to build your assets. Your asset is your reputation and authority. You therefore need testimonials saying: &#8220;I have tried every diet to lose weight and nothing has worked until I read Nutrinsider and I met <a title="Yorgo Nestoridis" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/about" >Yorgo Nestoridis</a>. <p>You need testimonials which build trust and confidence in YOU! Product testimonials mentioning Herbalife and the Product name are fine for your shop.</p>
<p>Your goal is that people follow YOU and listen to YOU and read YOUR content and accept YOUR advise and YOUR guidance! That&#8217;s where your business asset is built. In the beginning you may be well advised to use the help of your upline who has already built trust and authority as well as experience. Learn from your upline, but learn fast and start building YOUR business.</p>
<p>From the testimonial you can then link to your result and benefit oriented review pages or if you have a smart shop, maybe there is some smart content you can link to.</p>
<p>On Nutrinsider we will circumvent the problem by shooting on subsidiary questions such a price, discount, free shipping, coupons and so on. You will see how we can promote a product, without even mentioning its name as the case may be. Our site script will keep us clear of any legal problems.</p>
<p>Try to think in the following way: it does not matter what you sell; but it matters how you sell it. If today you sell Herbalife products, tomorrow you may sell any other product. <p>This post describes the set-up of our online infrastructure to Promote and Market Herbalife on Twitter, Facebook and Google. <a title="Marketing Herbalife on Twitter Facebook Google" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/social-media/twitter/herbalife-marketing-on-twitter-facebook-and-google-part-2/" >In Part 3</a> we have discussed our ambitious goals and means needed to meet our expectations.<br />

<p><a title="Nutrinsider Lose weight" href="http://nutrinsider.com" >Nutrinsider</a> is our new Online Publication which will serve to build our authority, visibility and consequently traffic, leads and sales. The site script NewsCast from Semiomantics has a newspaper layout, allowing to feature up to 20 categories just on the home page for quick information. The layout is designed to provide an interesting surfing experience due to the automated embedding of visual elements.</p>
<p>Graphic design is provided by Bianca Gubalke from South Africa, my preferred graphic art designer. Have a look at the first shot of the work in progress:</p>

<p>View the details by clicking on the picture; this is just the first shot, whereas Bianca has already loaded background graphics to give the site a personalized touch and feel. The color scheme is between blue and green, typography is still on default but will be modified.</p>
<p>We have pulled in a few posts via RSS to test RSS feed inflow and to have some posts to test display on site as well as impact on Google.<br />

<p>Our new Twitter Account is already featuring our customized background graphics from Bianca Gubalke.</p>

<p>As you can see I am just following my personal Twitter account to get some flow going and to test the power of communication and publishing of our Semiomantics scripts.</p>
<p>The good old joke about the bra and the hat had to serve for a first test, and guess what: Google sent us flowers right away.</p>
<p>Our tweet targeting an old joke pulled in from a joke network and published on Nutrinsider via RSS feed, triggered multiple Google entries, namely if you check the combination of Lose Weight with the word Bra and Hat :-)</p>
<p>It is not surprising to find us on Google Top 10 under the wording of the tweet (<a title="Bra Hat on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=what+did+a+bra+say+to+a+hat&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=" >what did a bra say to a hat</a>), what is of more interest is that the script automatically creates the association of our tweet with the main keywords of the website and triggers targeted entries in function of the definition and configuration of our publishing framework.</p>
<p>On <a title="Lose weight Bra on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=lose+weight+bra&amp;btnG=Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=g1" >Lose Weight Bra</a> and on <a title="Lose Weight Hat on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=lose+weight+hat&amp;btnG=Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=" >Lose Weight Hat</a> you will find Nutrinsider on Google Top 10, which does not mean a big deal about ranking but it shows that Google picks up our entries extremely fast, indexes them and lists them where our intentions are.</p>

<p>The next step will be to configure our publishing framework for social network publishing purposes and for optimized communication with Google. We want to achieve that Google indexes us on each of our main targeted keywords and that Nutrinsider as a whole gains authority under those keywords. This process should be finished later today.<br />

<p>We will need to optimize communication with Twitter and make sure that we can be found under our keywords. The publishing process needs to be mostly automated and we need to assure viral distribution. <p>This post describes Goals and Means used for Herbalife Marketing on Twitter, Facebook and Google. <h4>Assumptions:</h4>
<p>1. You have a lead capture page to which you need to drive traffic for conversion. (The page you target with your Google Ads)</p>
<p>2. You have an online shop or Product page to which you need to drive traffic.</p>
<p>(If you don&#8217;t have any of these, it does not really matter as you can create them during the set up here.)</p>
<h4>Goal:</h4>
<p><strong>Put your lead generator and product page in front of as many interested and ready to act people as possible, targeting the audience at Google, Twitter and Facebook to generate a growing number of sales and downline networkers in a streamlined and mostly automated way.</strong></p>
<p>Sounds like a Great Challenge! But I will give myself the means to tackle it and the focus to succeed.</p>
<h4>Note:</h4>
<p>I will not discuss here automated and manual lead and customer follow-up systems as most Herbalife Teams get solutions from their upline Leaders.<br />

<p>I have been building sites for years namely for networkers and marketing oriented people. Experience tells us, that if you don&#8217;t give yourself the appropriate means, you will never ever reach any tangible goal. It is therefore important to make sure your expectations are not beyond your means.</p>
<p>I remember John Peterson talking here in Athens in 2002 about the Carpenter who needs a set of prerequisites to build his piece of furniture and to succeed in his profession: the wood, the plan, the tools and the skills or knowledge PLUS COMMUNICATION.</p>
<p>Same here, we need to assemble the means which correspond to our ambitions, goals and purpose.</p>
<p>I will not go into the details about budgeting it all, I just take a short cut and budget for my online business $2000 and 4 hours a day, to be spent on infrastructure, knowledge and marketing to succeed on my 90 day plan with the following short term goals:</p>
<p><strong>Goal 1: Rank on Google Top 10 at least with one entry under my 3 main keywords</strong></p>
<p><strong>Goal 2: Get daily 10 leads to follow-up upon for business expansion (from Google, Twitter, Facebook)<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>Goal 3: Sell one product daily</strong></p>
<p>There you go!<strong> </strong>4 hours per day and $2000 that&#8217;s what I will invest<strong> during 90 days </strong>to make my baby fly. If you invest less time, you have to increase the cash budget and if you want to move faster, you increase time and cash.</p>
<p>This plan is basically what I used back in 2002 to go from supervisor to GET in 90 days, winning by the way the 2002 Herbalife summer cruise bonus available for high performers.<br />

<p>As you have not yet had the opportunity to send me your keywords, I will use a generic domain name:</p>

<p>which I have registered at <a title="Domain Hosting yorGOdom" href="http://yorgodom.com" >yorGOdom</a>, our in house domain host we have set up back in 2003 to ensure full control over domains as well as tons of free stuff and unequaled customer service.</p>
<p>Budget: $12.95 per year.<br />

<p>I want to use the best site scripts for this purpose to ensure high performance on Google and high speed automated communication with Social Networks as well as Bookmarking Networks.</p>
<p>You may have noticed, that any post I publish, reaches Google Top 10 under its main keywords, like our first posts in this series about Marketing Herbalife on Twitter, Facebook and Google. There is a good reason for it: I use Semiomantics Scripts for all my sites.</p>

<p>I get to start with a Semiomantics NewsCast Script which retails for $750, expandable to$1250 by adding a shop with semantic features driving shop items to the top of Google (the only shop which get&#8217;s products top ranked as far as I am aware of). This is a hosting pack, probably the best deal in the market, we have created for our own purposes and friends and namely to host self hosted WordPress and Semiomantics sites.<br />

<p>For the purpose of this demonstration I will just set up a new Twitter Account with the user name Nutrinsider a niche network builder for the purpose of my Herbalife related Marketing.</p>

<p>I have now spent $864.95 and I have eliminated all my Google Budget for years to come while raking in loads of Google traffic. My new budget projection would be, that I will probably not spend more than $1200 from the $2000 initially set aside to reach my goal, unless I want to build a high performance Semiomantics tuned store and a follow-up system.</p>

<p>This post will discuss some <strong>basic prerequisites  of Marketing Herbalife (or any MLM) </strong>on Google, Twitter and Facebook, while  <a title="Marketing Herbalife on Twitter Facebook Google" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/yorgo-nestoridis-marketing/marketing-herbalife-on-twitter-facebook-and-google/" >Part 1</a> was dealing with a typical situation describing the effects and mechanisms of online Marketing focused on paid Google listing and Google Ads.</p>
<p>This post will set our focus right on our purpose which will be fundamental when building our online Marketing Pipeline.<br />

<p>In order to sell whatever we have to sell, we need to make sure that we can bring our products or services in front of interested people. In other terms, we need traffic, targeted traffic.</p>

<p>Traffic is then converted to leads, meaning contacts we can get in touch with, in one or the other way to promote our products and services, respectively to build trust and confidence by building a quality relation.</p>
<p>Leads convert to sales when we sell successfully &#8230; ourselves, in the ideal case.<br />

<p>Frankly, nobody needs you to buy Herbalife products or to buy a Business Pack online!</p>
<p>Most people have come across Herbalife in the past and they have probably already been contacted by mail or in social networks by Herbalife Independent Distributors. If someone wants to know more about Herbalife, he will punch &#8220;Herbalife&#8221; into the <a title="Herbalife on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=Herbalife&amp;btnG=Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=">Google</a> engine to get the picture or he can click on an ad to sign up with someone or they may have a neighbor or family member who is a distributor, and so on.</p>
<p>In any case, there is competition out there and we are in an environment where people are searching for what they want, when they want it.</p>
<p>Push Marketing is out, here comes pull marketing.</p>
<p>The important issue is: people must be able to find you when they are looking for the benefit you are promoting and then they must be happy with what they see, once they found you (empathy).</p>

<p>Your business is not Herbalife, or rather: Herbalife is not YOUR business. Your business is You, it&#8217;s your company or Home Business that you define in function of your purpose, means, abilities, ambitions and dreams.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s call it MyBusiness (we will find a name later).</p>
<p>What is MyBusiness? MyBusiness is a marketing business which markets and promotes the products and opportunities from a company called Herbalife. You are basically promoting YOUR business, which is the only way not to breach Herbalife Rules nor to infringe Trademarks or Copyrights. Stick with this most important rule.</p>
<p>Example: the use of the name of Herbalife in your Domain name is not allowed (or needs permission) and I wonder if the use of the name of Herbalife in your user name on Social Networks could not become a problem, since such user names tend to be converted to meta keywords on Twitter for example and therefore it could be a breach of the Herbalife rules.<br />
<a name='What are you selling?'></a><br />
<h3>What are you selling?</h3>
<p>You are not selling Herbalife Shakes and Tablets, you are not selling Herbalife Business opportunities, you are not selling Herbalife. For as long as you focus on selling Herbalife, Pills and Powders and Biz ops, you will not sell with success.<br />
<a name='<strong>YOU SELL RESULTS AND BENEFITS</strong>&#8216;></a><br />
<h3><strong>YOU SELL RESULTS AND BENEFITS</strong></h3>
<p>Convert your product names into benefits, into results, into dreams. That&#8217;s where empathy is created. Don&#8217;t go out and talk science, or mix YOUR business up with the name of Herbalife, or perform a balancing act on labeling laws and other FDA rules by talking to the press about stuff which is not your business.</p>
<p>Just talk what&#8217;s really on your mind: YOUR BUSINESS, it&#8217;s mission and the benefits resulting for its customers.</p>
<p>You are not selling Herbalife in the first place but yourself and the benefits of your business. You are building relations, you are building trust and you are sharing your convictions, product and business experience. Direct selling is what it says: Direct selling! And that entails personal involvement. You are what your &#8220;label says&#8221; a Herbalife INDEPENDANT Distributor, so you see: you are not Herbalife.</p>
<p>Your  Herbalife Business development is probably much less product driven than based on the personal relation you develop with your prospects and customers.</p>
<p>The primary rule is therefore: <strong>Your Authority, your way of life and the way you present yourself online will impact on the empathy you create. It&#8217;s less what you say, than how you say it and your results will confirm this.<br />

<a name='Talking about Herbalife'></a><br />
<h3>Talking about Herbalife</h3>
<p>Herbalife has a strict policy about what you can say and what is reserved for the official representatives of the Company itself. There are legal implications when and how you represent a product or a company. Stick with the rules!</p>
<p>To illustrate the problem: today I came across an <a title="Herbalife in the Ada Evening News" href="http://www.adaeveningnews.com/local/local_story_210124045.html" >article</a> from the Ada Evening News while surfing the Google Top 10 on Herbalife, where excited Herbalife Distributors are talking to the press in a way which, I am not sure, is compliant with the rules.</p>
<p><strong>Make it a rule</strong> to talk about YOUR Business and when you talk about Herbalife, always do it with due respect and caution; don&#8217;t kill the hen laying the Golden Eggs for you.<br />
<a name='Your Marketing Lingo'></a><br />
<h3>Your Marketing Lingo</h3>
<p>We now need to translate what we have to sell into marketing lingo. Or rather, we have to find the keywords people would search for when wither wanting the results our products can procure or if they want to benefit from the business opportunity we have on offer.</p>
<p>Just dress a list of the benefits you have on offer, such as make money from home, make money with home business, earn online, lose weight, lose 20 pounds, get rid of your debt, &#8230;, whatever you have defined as being the benefits your business activity offers to prospects.</p>
<p>Marketing lingo is not &#8220;I sell Vitamins&#8221;, but &#8221; I share with you the benefits&#8221;.</p>
<p>I did the excercise on over 100 Herbalife products available in the USA back in 2002 and created for each and every product a specific short ad. It is however enough if you focus on just a few blockbuster products, say 3-5 products or product groups, on which you focus to attract first time customers. Herbalife is of great help in as much as the group names may already be keyword oriented.<br />
<a name='What's your existing Online Infrastructure?'></a><br />
<h3>What&#8217;s your existing Online Infrastructure?</h3>
<p>There are two websites you may have subscribed to with your upline team leader: a lead capture page (opt-in and auto responder system) and may be an online shop or product site. They both are Google neutral or inefficient, if they are replications, irrespective of the fact that you may have hooked your own domain to them.</p>
<p>Never mind, they will do the trick as they do the trick when you market with Google Ads.</p>
<p>If you have a domain, check if the domain name is Google efficient, either something neutral like your name or including one of your main benefits or keywords you are targeting; if this is not the case, consider changing your domain or getting a new one for your marketing online. We will go through an example when building our online marketing pipeline.<br />
<a name='Don't skip this step!'></a><br />
<h3>Don&#8217;t skip this step!</h3>
<p>May be this post is not very attractive, but believe me, this is probably the most important part of this series of posts. You must know what your business is and you must know what the benefits are you are offering. And finally, you must know what keywords you will target, whether you do this with Google Ads or on Twitter or Facebook, it all boils down to the same:</p>
<p>People react to certain trigger words or key phrases. That&#8217;s what generates empathy, traffic, conversation and conversion.</p>
<p>It is also important to differentiate between your business and the MLM company you are a Distributor of. Keep in mind, you are building a Network in your own rights as an asset for your business. Your assets are your authority, traffic, prospects, customers, cashflow and partners in your networks, be these networks social or business related.</p>
<p><strong>Spend time with this step to become aware who you are in this process, where you want to go and how you want to get there with what means.</strong></p>
<p>Once your goals are clear, continue and you will see, what will follow is just technicalities and in support of your purpose.</p>
<p>Think and Grow Rich!<br />
<a name='What the Heck are you doing online anyway?'></a><br />
<h3>What the Heck are you doing online anyway?</h3>
<p>You are basically developing your domain, authority, reputation and circle of influence. Look at it in a simple way: you buy a domain like a chunk of land and then you develop it. All you do all day long is to develop your domain by building assets.</p>
<p>The assets we are talking about are: visibility, authority, notoriety, traffic, leads, prospects, customers, customer care, cash flow&#8230;</p>
<p>You develop these assets under your business name irrespective of the business opportunity you promote and they will finally determine the value of your business.</p>
<p>If you got this one straight, you are on the right track and you will focus on just this one goal: develop your online (and offline) assets. The resulting cash is the measure for your success and your license from Herbalife is your means to convert your development to cash.</p>

<p>Marketing Herbalife on Twitter is like marketing most anything on Twitter: it requires a goal, a concept, a strategy and the means to implement the plan. Focus and Consistency are the 2 additional ingredients which will lead to success.</p>
<p>Back in 2002, while testing MLM marketing online, I earned over $10 000 per month exclusively by selling Herbalife products online.</p>
<p>I have abandoned the MLM industry end of 2002 to build my own online business, implementing marketing concepts by building high performance websites and publishing networks aiming high visibility on Google Top 10, empathy and conversion.</p>

<p>Herbalife Distributors pursue two purposes:</p>
<p>1. Selling Products to earn an income.</p>
<p>2. Expanding the Network (Downline) to leverage on the MLM structure and pay plan.</p>
<p>This series of posts will deal with Marketing and Promoting Herbalife Products and Business opportunity online using Twitter, Facebook and Google.<br />

<p>Herbalife Distributors often use replicated lead generation pages, which due to the nature of replication have little chance to gain visibility on Google.</p>
<p><strong>The advantage</strong> of such squeeze, splash or landing pages is that the Distributor does not need to be internet savvy, he just needs to &#8220;drive traffic to the page&#8221;.</p>
<p>Google Ads provide a system allowing anyone to target prospects on a keyword based model, whereas the advertisers bid for the keywords. Google is selling keywords on auction bases, the advertiser bids for the best possible exposure.</p>
<p>The goal consists in spending less on ads than to earn on conversion. If a Herbalife Distributor rakes in $320 for a new Supervisor recruited using Google ads, then the deal would be brilliant; however the truth is, that Google advertising cost has tremendously increased since 2002 when we could advertise for 1 cent per click and when with 5 cents per click you already looked like a hero.<br />

The same idea is used as a base for calculation at eBay, Amazon and other online commercial ventures.<br />

<p>This knowledge lets you easily budget your business.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you need 30 clicks to get 1 lead at 50 cents a click, then every lead costs you $15</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say you need 10 leads to sell a Business Pack, then each business pack entails marketing cost of $150</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s say out of  5 Business Packs sold you recruit one Supervisor, that means your Supervisor costs $750 in Marketing Cash.</p>
<p>You will get $320 in commissions for the 4000 Points sold, you are in the red with $430.</p>
<p>That is when you are told: the money is in the follow-up. And it&#8217;s true, that&#8217;s where the money is, provided you have someone to follow-up upon in the first place.<br />

<h3>Who right in his mind would use Google Ads to Recruit for Herbalife &#8211; or any MLM?</h3>
<p>The answer is simple: your upline would.</p>
<p>Why? Because he builds his downline with the cumulative marketing efforts provided by himself and his downline. In other terms, you need to be able to split and &#8220;share&#8221; your marketing budget with downlines to bring your own marketing cost down to below your direct commission income level.</p>
<p>Here is how it works:</p>
<p><strong>Suppose you are a Supervisor and you have 9 downline Supervisors.</strong></p>
<p>You team up and everyone kicks in $100 per month to a joint AdWords campaign, that&#8217;s a total budget of $1000. Now let&#8217;s play the statistics according to the above assumptions:</p>
<p>From your point of view, as the upline, your team will grow by one new supervisor; you don&#8217;t know where in your downline, it could be a direct hit or it could be on the account of one, and one only of your downlines.</p>
<p>Your winning downline spent $100 and makes $320. You spent $100 and you make your 5%, that&#8217;s $200. You two are in the black, whereas the other 8 team members have been paying for your success.</p>
<p>After 4 months, you will have 4 new supervisors and  the team has made 4 x $320 = $1280 plus your 4 times $200, totalling $2080 if your new supervisors went all under one of your direct downlines. At the same time your team has spent $4000 or $400 a person.</p>
<p>At this point only one person in the team is statistically in the black, and that is the upline. Statistically all team members have spent $400 and 4 of them have made $320. The latter are in the red by $80, while the other 5 team members are in the red by $400 each and you, the upline you are in the black with at least $400.</p>
<p>After 10 months (we neglect here the contribution by the new supervisors, which will worsten the stats for your initial team members individually), you will have 10 new supervisors, one a direct downline, the others underneath.</p>
<p>Each team member will have spent $1000 and each will have made $320, i.e. they lose $680</p>
<p>You, as their upline will have spent $1000 and you made one time $320 and 9 times $200=$1800, totaling $2120, earning on the operation $1120.</p>
<p>This is the math!</p>

<p>There are many Herbalife Distributors promoting their Business Opportunity on Google, which per se is not a bad idea. However, there is not unlimited traffic on the targeted keywords and many teams target similar keywords, competing with each other for the best spots and overbidding each other to get most of the valuable traffic. This way, in general, there are only two parties which make money for sure: Google and Herbalife the Company (they don&#8217;t spend a dime and their global distributorship and sales grow), while you as a distributor, you overpay your clicks because of the internal competition.<br />

<p>There are 3 solutions:</p>
<p>1. Become an upline and deal with your team as described above, making sure that you grow faster than people drop out. This will work and as some of your downlines will grow as well you will reach the critical mass soon where you don&#8217;t need to contribute to the marketing effort anymore (financially).</p>
<p>2. Get Google Traffic with a highly visible website on Google. Invest into your own marketing arm, a top notch SEO tuned website and get organic Google Top 10 listing under the relevant keywords.</p>
<p>3. Look for additional marketing strategies to complete your Google strategy and decrease the average marketing cost per conversion; this is what we want to look at when talking about Marketing Herbalife on twitter and Facebook.<br />
